Introduction to Visual Arts
Visual Arts is a class where you will learn about the very basics of drawing, painting, sculpture and ceramics. This class is for beginners and will teach you techniques to build off of.
Visual Arts II
Visual Arts I is a class where you will learn about the very basics of drawing, painting, sculpture and ceramics. This class is for beginners and will teach you techniques to build off of.
Visual Arts III
Prerequisite: Students must have taken Visual Arts 2 before taking this course.
Visual Arts II is an advanced version of Visual Arts I. You will be building on the skills you learned in that class. We will continue where we left off in VA1 discussing more advanced techniques and theories.
Visual Arts IV - Ceramics
Prerequisite: Students must have taken Visual Arts 3 before taking this course.
Ceramics is a class where you will learn about how to work with clay in all of its forms. You will work on the pottery wheel, and learn about how our kilns work and how glazes work as well.
Visual Arts in Jeffco
Visual arts programs are an integral part of the core curriculum offered at every Jeffco school.
Jeffco Public Schools provides high-quality instruction, emphasizing a balance of studio art creation, critique and analysis and history. Students receive a curriculum based on the Colorado Academic Standards in drawing, painting, printmaking, mixed media, digital media, sculpture and ceramics.
