Back to School Open House

Back to School Open House info can be found in step 6. 

After completing the enrollment and course selection process, the following registration steps need to be completed after July 1st.

  1. Update Jeffco Connect:  (July 1st – August 14th)
    • This step must be completed every school year to ensure we have accurate contact information.
    • Click on your student’s name.
    • Select each tab on the left side and update the information.
    • Click “Save” on each page, even if no information changed.
    • On the "Contacts" tab, be sure to click the "Edit" icon. Pay close attention to the "Notification Preferences" selected, as this is how you will receive communications from the school.  Save changes.
    • After reviewing all sections, click “Submit” on the summary page. 
    • Confirm your “Digital Signature” in upper right corner changed to today’s date.
    • Complete this update for each of your Jeffco students.
    • Return to Jeffco Connect Home page.


  2. Pay Student Fees:  (July 31st – August 14th)
    • In Jeffco Connect, click on the Jeffco Student Fee Payment link on the left side of page.
    • There is no surcharge for paying fees through Jeffco Connect.
    • An optional (OPT) yearbook is available to purchase.  If you do not want to purchase the yearbook, unselect the yearbook fee.
    • Class fees are tied to a student’s course schedule for the year, and may change slightly if schedule is changed.
    • If applying for the Free/Reduced Lunch Program, wait to pay fees until you receive a response from that program.  If approved, notify the school financial office.
    • You can pay fees for all of your Jeffco students at one time.


  3. If applicable, update cafeteria balance:
    • MyPaymentsPlus (MyPaymentsPlus can also be accessed through Jeffco Connect).


  4. If applicable, complete the Free/Reduced Lunch Program Application:
    • A new application is required every school year.
    • To apply for a waiver of school fees, select “Yes” on the Class Fee Waiver Eligibility page.
    • To apply for a waiver of transportation fees, select “Yes” on the Transportation Fee Waiver Eligibility page.


  5. Print Student Schedules:  Available in Campus on August 7th  
    • Login to Campus Family Portal  (same login info as Jeffco Connect)
    • Select the “Reports” tab on the left side.
    • Select "S1 Schedule with locker combination".
    • The schedule will open in a new window.
    • Locker number and combination will be listed on the top left side of schedule.
    • Print or save for future reference.

  6. Attend optional Open House on August 14th, 3:00 – 6:00 pm:
    • This will be an informal time for students to tour the building, bring supplies, try lockers, etc.
    • Schedules with locker combinations should be printed at home before arriving.
    • Supplies may be brought to school and lockers organized.
    • Teachers will not be available during this time.
    • New student enrollments will not be taken during this time.
    • Medication and corresponding forms will be accepted in the clinic during this time.
    • Staff will be available to answer questions.
    • A limited number of computers will be available to update Jeffco Connect if unable to do so at home.
    • Student pictures will not be taken during this time – they will be taken during school on Tuesday, August 22nd.


  7.  First Day of School:

    • 7th grade – Thursday, August 17th, 8:04 – 11:30 am will be a required modified contact day.  No breakfast or lunch served.  Jeffco transportation will run an adjusted time to accommodate the early release.
    • New 8th grade – Thursday, August 17th, 1:00 – 1:45 pm will be an optional welcome activity (please note revised time).  No lunch will be served.
    • All students – Friday, August 18th will be the first full day for all students.  This will be the first day of school for returning 8th graders.
