Preparing for the New School Year

After completing the enrollment and course selection process, the following registration steps need to be completed after July 1st:


Step 1:  Update Jeffco Connect:  (After July 1st)

  • This step must be completed every school year to ensure we have accurate contact information.
  • A parent/guardian login must be used. 
  • Click on your student’s name.
  • Select each tab on the left side and update the information.
  • Click “Save” on each page, even if no information changed.
  • On the "Contacts" tab, be sure to click the "Edit" icon.  Pay close attention to the "Notification Preferences" listed and selected, as this is how you will receive communications from the school.  Save changes.
  • After reviewing all sections, click “Submit” on the summary page. 
  • Confirm your “Digital Signature” in upper right corner changed to today’s date.
  • Complete this update for each of your Jeffco students.
  • Return to Jeffco Connect Home page.

Step 2
:  Pay Student Fees:  (Dates TBD)

  • In Jeffco Connect, click on the Jeffco Student Fee Payment link on the left side of page.
  • There is no surcharge for paying fees through Jeffco Connect.
  • An optional (OPT) yearbook is available to purchase.  If you do not want to purchase the yearbook, unselect the yearbook fee.
  • Class fees are tied to a student’s course schedule for the year, and may change slightly if schedule is changed.
  • If applying for the Free/Reduced Lunch Program, wait to pay fees until you receive a response from that program.  If approved, notify the school financial office.  
  • You can pay fees for all of your Jeffco students at one time.
  • A list of fees by class will be available soon.


Step 3:  If wanted, purchase a yearbook: 

  • Yearbooks can be purchased online at Josten'  The link will be updated when available.  Order forms can be sent to the office.  Checks should be made out to Josten's.

Step 4
:  If applicable, update cafeteria balance: 

  • MyPaymentsPlus (MyPaymentsPlus can also be accessed through Jeffco Connect).

Step 5
:  If applicable, complete the Free/Reduced Lunch Program Application:

  • A new application is required every school year.
  • To request a waiver of school fees, select “Yes” on the Class Fee Waiver Eligibility page.
  • To request a waiver of transportation fees, select “Yes” on the Transportation Fee Waiver Eligibility page. 

Step 6
:  Print Student Schedules:  Available in Campus - Date TBD  

  • Login to Campus Family Portal  (same login info as Jeffco Connect)
  • Select the “Reports” tab on the left side.
  • Select "S1 Schedule with locker combination".
  • The schedule will open in a new window.
  • Locker number and combination will be listed on the top left side of schedule.
  • Print or save for future reference.

Step 7
:  Attend optional Open House - Date & Time TBD:

  • This will be an informal time for students to tour the building, bring supplies, try lockers, etc.  
  • Schedules with locker combinations should be printed at home before arriving.
  • Supplies may be brought to school and lockers organized. Supply lists will be available soon.
  • Teachers will not be available during this time.
  • New student enrollments will not be taken during this time.
  • Medication and corresponding forms will be accepted in the clinic during this time.
  • Staff will be available to answer questions.
  • A limited number of computers will be available to update Jeffco Connect if unable to do so at home.
  • Student pictures will not be taken during this time – they will be taken during school - date TBD.

Step 8
:​  First Day of School:

  • 6th grade - Thursday, August 16th, morning session, times to be determined.  This is a required modified contact day and the bus will run a modified scheduled to bring kids to and from school.  No breakfast or lunch served.  
  • 7th grade – Thursday, August 16th, afternoon session, times to be determined.  This is a required modified contact day and the bus will run a modified scheduled to bring kids to and from school.  No breakfast or lunch served.
  • All students – Friday, August 17th will be the first full day for all students.  This will be the first day of school for 8th graders.
